Capital Referees is the membership association that acts as a resource for soccer officials in the Capital of Texas region. Capital Referees is an official chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) and the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA). Capital Referees assigns officials for high school and collegiate soccer matches in the Capital of Texas region.
Capital Referees is a 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation. Membership is open to all referees and requires the completion of an application and payments of dues. Membership is not a guarantee to be assigned high school or collegiate matches.
Mission Statement
Capital Referees seeks to foster and promote amateur sports competition in the Capital of Texas Region.
Primary Activities
Advance the ideals of good sportsmanship and fair play through qualified officiating in soccer, and respect for the authority of soccer officials at all levels of competition.
Provide educations programs to advance the skills of soccer officials at all levels of competition.
Provide public information programs that encourage appreciate for the competence of soccer officials.
Develop concepts of good sportsmanship among the young of the nation, both and competitors and as spectators.
Analyzing soccer rules to identify problems and seek solutions in cooperation with appropriate rule making bodies.
Developing and maintaining a membership consisting of experienced and capable soccer officials whose integrity is above reproach
Fostering a high standard of ethics, closer cooperation, and better understanding among officials, athletic representatives, coaches, players, and the media.
